What is cloud storage?

Cloud backup allows you to store your data so it can be accessed “anytime, anywhere” from any device via the Internet. It is a cloud computing model that stores data on the Internet through a cloud computing provider who manages and operates data storage as a service.

Can I trust cloud backup?

The following measures are taken to maximize security:

• All videos and data are protected by advanced encryption algorithms when uploaded to the cloud.

• All videos are stored on AWS cloud servers, which are recognized as being the most reliable cloud service provider in the world

• Video can only be played through the eufy app

• Both the URL address and the video footage are encrypted and transmitted for download and sharing. After decryption via the eufy app, downloads are saved in the user’s mobile phone album in MP4 format before being processed.

Which products can subscribe to cloud backup?

How to subscribe to cloud backup? 

You also can backup your events recordings to eufy cloud backup by subscribing to eufy Cloud backup.

To subscribe to cloud backup, please check if your devices can subscribe the cloud service first. Storage Methods Compatibility for eufySecurity Device.

Then, you can finish the subscription in the app. (Side menu> Cloud backup> choose a plan> Get started).

Why did I fail to subscribe to a new cloud service?

An account can only subscribe to one cloud backup package at the same time. If you failed to subscribe to the new package, please check whether your account has already subscribed to the cloud backup package?
 

Will the recordings in the cloud backup be permanent?

No. It is 30 days storage and then overwriting the storage. It’s ultimately overwritten. 

How to cancel the cloud backup?

The cloud Backup cannot be canceled directly by users now. To cancel your cloud backup, please contact us and provide us with the serial number of the camera for which you want to cancel the cloud backup.

If your cloud service was subscribed via Apple/Google Pay, it is recommended to contact Apple/Google Pay for the cancelation and refund.

If you cancel the monthly subscription, the subscription will no longer be automatically renewed, however, the monthly fee will not be refunded. If you cancel the annual subscription, the monthly fee will be deducted and the remaining fee will be refunded. Please contact us for refund related issues.
 

How do I update my payment method for my eufy cloud subscription?
 

Currently, the eufy app and the web portal do not support updating payment methods, such as using a different credit card. If you would like to update your payment method, please choose from one of the following methods.

• Please wait for the current cloud subscription to expire and then use a new credit card as the payment method to subscribe to cloud backup again.

• Please manually cancel the current cloud subscription and contact eufy support at support@eufylife.com to inform us of the cancellation, then use a new credit card as the payment method to subscribe to cloud backup again.
