What Should I Do if My XF/XFi's Suction Is Poor?

If your carpet & upholstery cleaner's suction power is weak, please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1) Ensure that the nozzle, dirty water tank, clean water tank, filter, and other components are installed properly.

2) Ensure that you are using the machine at the correct angle. In order to achieve optimal cleaning performance, please note that this carpet & upholstery cleaner has two recommended usage angles when cleaning solid particles and liquids:

  • When cleaning solid particles, simply place the machine's suction head bottom plate horizontally on the cleaning surface and manually push the machine in a forward motion.
  • When cleaning liquids, please slightly lift up the machine and press the front suction part of the machine tightly on the cleaning surface, then press the machine down on the cleaning surface while pulling it in a backward motion.

3) Check if the nozzle or filter is clogged. If necessary, please clean any debris or blockages to ensure proper airflow and functionality.

4) Check if the suction fan is emitting any abnormal noises.

5) Look for any warning lights: If the carpet & upholstery cleaner is malfunctioning, the indicator panel on your machine will display a red LED light that remains on for 10 seconds before the machine shuts down.
