This article is designed to provide instructions and tips on how to quickly map your home with the S1 Pro robot.
Initial Mapping
When you first set up your S1 Pro robot or use it in a new environment, you'll need to initiate the mapping process. To do this, simply tap on the "Mapping" option in the eufy app. The robot will automatically begin the process of mapping your entire home, which is a rapid scan of the home's layout.
As the robot explores your home, it generates a map that is displayed in the eufy app. Please note that the mapping process is not complete until the map's color changes from gray to full color, indicating a successful map creation.
Mapping Tips
The robot will take a few minutes to explore your home without cleaning to create a map. To ensure accurate mapping:
- Start the S1 Pro robot from its Uniclean™ Station.
- Open the doors to all of the rooms that you would like the robot to enter.
- Remove toys, wires, and other loose items from the floor.
- Please do not manually interfere with the robot's mapping path or manually move the robot during the mapping process. The S1 Pro robot will automatically return to its Uniclean™ Station once it has finished mapping your home.
In the unlikelihood of the robot missing any area during its initial mapping process, don't worry! The robot will automatically update and optimize the map during its subsequent cleaning sessions.
Editing the Map
Once a map is saved, the S1 Pro robot will use its algorithm to divide the map into different rooms. If you are not satisfied with the layout of the automatic room division, you can manually merge, divide, or name the rooms to better suit your preferences and needs.
Additionally, you have the option to set no-go zones, virtual walls, and no-mop zones to further customize the cleaning areas according to your preferences and needs.
Creating New Maps
In the "Manage Map" section of the app, you can delete saved maps or initiate the creation of new maps. This function is particularly useful if you move the robot to a different floor or a new home.

Indeed, it supports up to four maps, but three are saved under the "Map Management" page while one is a temporary map displayed on the home page. This temporary map can be cleaned but won't be saved. If you want to manually save it, they will be prompted to replace one of the saved maps.
